Samsung is preparing to release a new camera with a bit of an identity crisis: It’s a camera with a phone built in to it, but it isn’t a cameraphone.

Samsung’s new WB5000 may be classified as a compact camera, but it is sure offering up the benefits of a much larger model.

Ever wished your point and shoot camera would let you see the framing of a self-portrait? Well, thanks to Samsung, now you can.

Samsung is set to release a new point and shoot that connects to just about everything you can think of … and, oh yeah, it shoots pictures, too.

Samsung has announced two new entry level point and shoot cameras to its popular SL series.

Samsung announced this morning two new standard definition camcorders the Samsung SMX-C14, and Samsung SMX-C10. Both camcorders feature Samsung’s “Touch of Color” finish that was introduced on this years flat-panel HDTV’s. The finish blends a hint of a color into a deep black finish to give the device an “attractive crystalline appearance.

Samsung has come up with a 35mm DSLR, which is most desirable because it is small enough   not to be an encumbrance. The next bit get technical for which apologies are offered.

This week Samsung introduced a new compact digital camera with a twist. In addition to taking photos and shooting video, the Samsung CL5 also has a built-in MP3 player.

The Memoir from Samsung is a cameraphone. (Which is a new word to mean a camera which is also a cell phone or, if you would prefer, a cell phone which is also a camera.)
