Olympus announces all-black version of PEN E-P2 Digital CameraDo you long for the days when all cameras were black? Black bodies, black accessories, black lenses and so on? Well, you’re in luck because Olympus is right there with you, and it’s doing something about the severe lack of blackness on camera store shelves.

Going on sale in Oct. in the United States is a Black PEN E-P2 kit. This kit will come with the usual Olympus PEN E-P2 camera body, but it will also include a black 17mm M.Zuiko Lens and a black FL-14 Flash. The kit will have a suggested retail price of $999.

Seeing as not everyone will be satisfied with the 17mm lens, Olympus has also announced two new lenses that will work with any of their four-thirds cameras. The M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75-300mm f4.8-6.7 will be available in December 2010 and sell for $899, while the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150mm f4.0-5.6 will be available in November 2010 for $299. Both lenses will be available in black and silver.

Yes, this is the same camera announced back in Nov. of last year, but isn’t everything just cooler in black?
