Praktica introduces 14 Megapixel DCZ 14.1

ImageRights now offering a free tool to help protect image copyrightsIt seems that just about everyone has suddenly decided that 14 megapixels is the new number to slap on their point and shoot cameras.

Praktica has a long history in Germany, but isn’t that well known in the United States. The brand name first pops up in 1949 from the Pentacon camera company, and although the company has shifted somewhat, and had other people come in to run it, the brand has survived on.

The camera isn’t anything that remarkable compared to lots of others options out there, but we think it’s safe to say that 14 megapicels is going to the new number we slapped on every camera even though it isn’t a true representation of what the sensors can handle
