Samsung NX10 gets officially announced
Samsung has taken the wraps off of its highly anticipated NX10 compact digital camera a few days shy of the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Measuring a mere 4.8″ x 3.4″ x 1.6″, with a weight of 0.78 pounds, the new NX10 from Samsung appears to pack a lot of punch in its very small body.  Featuring a 14.6MP APC-C CMOS sensor, and  interchangeable mirrorless lenses, it has the heart of a DSLR inside a concept body.
The 3″ AM OLED screen on the back promises to allow users to view their images even when outdoors in bright sunlight, allowing you to check your pictures any time you want.
The Samsung NX10 includes in-depth manual controls and also a Smart Auto function which automatically detects the surrounding environment of the shot and selects the best shooting mode. Its Smart Range feature also enables the user to vividly express both bright areas and dark areas in the same frame, and the Supersonic Dust Reduction system keeps those dust particles clear of the image sensor that can often impair an image. It even senses when the user brings the camera close to their face to look through the viewfinder, and puts the AMOLED screen on standby to conserve power.
No price has been announced at this time, but the camera will be on display this week at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show, January 7-10, in the Samsung booth #11026 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

This looks like a nice little camera, but I don’t think it’s micro four thirds. These are proprietary lenses w/ a different mount. Samsung have officially announced their latest Hybrid Digital SLR camera called the Samsung NX10. The NX10 is a different sized camera to others as it’s larger than a Micro Four Thirds camera but smaller than a regular DSLR camera. It is capable of capturing video at 30 frames per second at a 720p HD resolution.
