Eye-Fi adds selective sharing on social networks

Eye-Fi adds selective sharing on social networksEye-Fi is on a roll lately with the new features, and now you can even select where your pictures will appear before they even leave your camera.

Just last week Eye-Fi added the ability to do FTP uploads to its cards, and now they are back this week with yet another new feature.  Thanks to a new feature called Selective Share, you can choose which of your images will go directly to the social networks of your choice such as Facebook, Flickr, Snapfish and Picasa.

The best part of this is that you don’t have to buy a new card, your current one that has Online Sharing will do just fine after just a couple of simple steps:

  1. Go to manager.eye.fi and log-in.
  2. Insert your card and go to “Upload Settings”.
  3. Choose “Selective Sharing”.
  4. Click “Save Settings”.

Now your card will still backup all of your images to your computer, and you can choose which images will go to the social networks by using the “lock/protect” feature on your camera.

You have to congratulate Eye-Fi on constantly making it easier and easier for you to get images off of your camera.  At the rate new features are being added, pretty soon you will never need to plug your camera or memory card into your computer again.
