Adobe launches Photoshop app for the iPhone and iPod Touch
Don’t want to share that family photo you just took with your iPhone until you crop out creepy uncle Phil? Well, there’s an app for that.
Adobe has launched a free Photoshop.com for the iPhone that will allow you to do a whole lot more with the pictures you take on your Apple device. Â (It should work on the iPod Touch also, but seeing as the Touch still lacks a camera, it’s probably a lot less useful to you there)
The new app works with your Photoshop.com account to share your photos, back them up so you can delete them from your phone and, of course, photo editing.
While there have been other photo manipulation apps for the iPhone before this, there is something about the Photoshop brand name that makes this instantly cooler. Â While this is sure not to be the way professionals choose to edit their photos, consumers can crop the images, apply filters, play with color by adjusting the saturation and tint, enhancing the exposure and vibrancy and converting images to black and white and more. Â There are also some fun things you can do like using the Sketch tool to help photos look like drawings, Soft Focus can give photos a subtle blur for artistic effect, you can also apply dramatic changes to the look and feel of your photos with effects such as Warm Vintage, Vignette and Pop. Edits or changes can be undone or redone so users can experiment without the worry of losing the original photo.
For a free app working with a free account, this really can’t be beat. Â If you have an iPhone there is pretty much no reason why you shouldn’t have this application installed.

I played around with the app a little bit this morning and have to say that I think it is very cool especially for a free app. The app allows you to do some of the most basic edits with your i-phone photos including cropping and adjusting.
