Epson is coming out with a printer that will do just about everything you could ask for from a 4-in-1 device, and even better, it can all be done via Wi-Fi.
Convergence devices are becoming more and more popular in the printer field, and Epson is going all out with its new 4-in-1 PX810FW. Now only can you scan, fax and photocopy, but you can print out high definition photos to boot. Not enough? It can also do double sided printing, something that is highly frowned upon in most older printers.
It also has a nifty feature that will allow it to print directly on to certain CDs and DVDs so that you can personalize their design. Â No more boring blank disc fronts when you send grandma the latest pictures of her grandchildren.
There is also a “greeting card” feature which will allow you to include a personal note on the print outs of photos without having to switch on the computer, and it will even allow you to print out your personal hand writing on the note.
So far it is only slated for release in England, but an eventual USA release seems inevitable.  The price in England will be £299.99, so it will probably be in the neighborhood of $600 when released in the states.  Considering how many devices it replaces, that may not be such a bad price after all.
