Samsung announces two new additions to the SL series
Samsung has announced two new entry level point and shoot cameras to its popular SL series.
While Samsung is continuing the usual “more megapixels mean better quality” myth, these still sound like solid options for people looking for entry level cameras. The SL720 offers up Dual Image Stabilization which works for both digital and optical zoom, while the new 502 only offers it for digital imagng. The SL720 also offers up the ability to record video in 720p HD which makes the price between these units negiligable. Considering the relatively low cost of the higher end model, it almost seems silly to consider the SL502 as an option for purchase, but it may be good for teenagers and younger children as a starter camera.
Both cameras feature 12.2 megapixel sensors and 5x optical zoom, but after that the units start changing drastically.
