GE’s 2009 camera line: Who knew GE even made cameras?
This past week at PMA General Imaging, a division of General Electric released nine new cameras. Didn’t know General Electric made cameras? The company has only been in the business for a year now, so these nine are its second attempt at breaking into the digital imaging market. The company announced a few cameras that are well worth a look. Here’s a rundown of some of the highlights of GE’s 2009 camera lineup:
X3
The GE X3 has a 12.2 megapixel resolution, a 12x optical zoom, and a 2.7-inch LCD screen. The camera has optical image stabilization to help compensate for camera movement while you’re taking your shots and comes in only black.
G3WP
The G3WP is a 12-megapixel camera that is also waterproof. The camera has a 4x optical zoom, 2.7-inch LCD, and an ISO up to 3200. The G3WP also adds a pre-capture panorama feature, which allows you to seamlessly connect together three different pictures into one seamless photo.
E1255W
The E1255W has a 12-megapixle resolution and a 5x optical zoom. The camera has a 28mm wide angle lens for capturing exceptionally wide angle shots and has am ISO up to 1600. The camera also has face, smile, and blink detection to help make sure everyone in your pictures has their eyes open and is looking their best.
E1250TW
The E1250 takes pictures at a 12-megapixel resolution and has a 5x optical zoom. The camera has a touchscreen interface, 28mm wide-angle lens, and HD video recording as well as an HD output directly from the camera.
E1276W
The E1276 takes pictures at a 12-megapixel resolution. The camera has a 7x optical zoom, 3-inch LCD, and an ISO up to 3200. The camera has auto scene detection that automatically puts your camera in the right shooting mode for the situation you’re in and has optical image stabilization to keep your pictures in focus and looking good.
