RockYou helps you create rocking slideshows
Sometimes sharing large groups of photographs with friends can be a daunting task. If you have a MySpace or Facebook page, a slideshow can be an excellent way to get started. RockYou is an easy-to-use website that can help you create great looking slideshows fast.
Creating a slideshow on RockYou is pretty simple:
Upload Your Photos
Photos are uploaded into RockYou much like they are to any other site. You browse your computer’s hard drive, select the picture you want, and click upload. RockYou allows you to add captions to individual photographs explaining what’s going on or adding personal comments about the shot just as you might if you were uploading the photograph individually rather than creating a slideshow.
Arrange Your Pictures
Once you’ve uploaded all the pictures you want to put in your slideshow, you can arrange them the way you’d like them to appear. This is one feature where RockYou makes the process as simple as possible. Pictures can be rearranged on the site by just dragging and dropping the pictures. While you’re rearranging, you can also add captions to individual photos that you might have left off when uploading, or remove captions from photos if you change your mind.
Add Music
RockYou has a variety of different musical tracks available on the site that you can add to your slideshow and have play while your photos are being displayed. Current selections are from artists such as Tila Tequila, Kidz in the Hall, Enrique Iglesias, and My Chemical Romance.
Save Your Masterpiece
Once you’re done creating your slideshow, you can save it to the site to come back and edit later, or skip that step entirely and just jump to the finished product. From personal experience, saving is always the best option. You will inevitably find another photo you’d like to add to the show or decide that you wish you had left one out. It’s great to have the option to edit later on, even if you ultimately decide not to.
Share With Friends
Your final slideshow can be uploaded and shared on a variety of websites. RockYou provides codes specifically for: MySpace, Hi5, Bebo, Friendster, Facebook, Orkut, WordPress, Flixter, Blogger, Xanga and many others.
