Casio launches the EXILM EX-FH20
By Emily Price
Casio has launched its new EXILM EX-FH20 high-speed digital camera. The camera takes photographs at a 9.1 megapixel resolution, has a burst rate up to 40fps, and can shoot movies at an astounding 1000fps.
Lens:
The EX-FH20 has a 26mm-equivalent wide angle zoom lens.
Zoom:
The EX-FH20 has a 20x optical zoom, which is pretty high for a consumer camera. A 20x zoom makes it easy for users to capture shots from distances far away.
Night Setting:
The EX-FH20 has a night scene setting that is designed for taking high-speed night shots without using a tripod.
High Speed Burst Mode:
The EX-FH20 has a high-speed burst mode that can take 7 megapixel photographs at a speed of 40 fps. This mode can come in handy particularly if you’re trying to capture a fast moving object, taking 40 pictures with a single click on the shutter.
HD Video Recording:
The EX-FH20 can shoot high-definition videos at 1280 x 780 pixels and 30fps. We’ve seen a lot of digital camera manufactures putting high-definition video recording in their cameras this year. The ability to shoot HD, while not a replacement for a camcorder, makes it possible to shoot high quality video with your camera and carry along just your digital camera for events when you don’t think you’ll want to record much video.
The high zoom and fast frame rate of this camera makes it an ideal selection for consumers who want to take pictures of sports events or another fast moving activities. With a 40fps frame rate the camera should be able to accurately capture fast moving objects like soccer and footballs as well as other objects that may be in motion.
The EXILM EX-FH20 is expected to be released in October in the UK for a suggested retail price around 400 pounds.
