Fujifilm announces 3 new digital cameras
Fujifilm has announced three new compact cameras. The cameras range from the zoom heavy S2000HD to the ultra compact J150w.
Here’s a rundown of the three cameras:
Fuji FinePix S2000HD
The FinePix S2000HD shoots photographs at a 10-megapixel resolution. The camera is also able to record high-definition video at a 1280 x 720 resolution and record mono sound in the MPEG4 format. One of the huge standout features of the camera is it’s 15x zoom, an exceptionally high number for a consumer digital camera. The camera also has a 2.7-inch LCD and has shutter-priority, aperture-priority and full manual exposure controls which make it an excellent option for photographs who want a little more control over their photographs. Look for the S2000HD in September for $299.95.
Fuji Finepix F60fd
The FinePix F60fd takes photographs at a 12 megapixel resolution. The cameras face detection system can detect up to 10 faces in a photograph and claims to be able to detect rotated and tilted faces as well. The camera has a 3x optical zoon, 3-inch LCD, and much like the S2000HD supports aperture and shutter priority as well as manual controls. While it’s the same price as the bigger zoom S2000HD the F60fd is much smaller and uses rechargeable batteries rather than AA’s which can make it an ideal choice for travelers or someone looking for a camera to take along with them. Look for the F60fd in September for $299.95.
Fuji FinePix J150w
The FinePix 150w takes photographs at a 10 megapixel resolution. The camera has a 5x optical zoom, and a 3-inch LCD. The face detection system in the J150w only supports 6 faces (as opposed to the 10 faces supported by the other two cameras). The camera can record video in a movie mode at a 640 x 480 resolution as well as a 320 x 240 resolution. The main feature of the J150w is its size. The camera is less than an inch thick, making it ultra compact and portable. Look for the J150w in September for $199.95.
