Panasonic announces four new cameras

Panasonic announces four new camerasIt’s time again for manufacturers to announce their digital cameras for the remainder of the year. Following behind Samsungs announcements last week, Panasonic announced four new consumer digital cameras morning. All four new consumer cameras use Leica lenses, have face detection up to 15 people, and offer image stabilization. All four cameras have some distinct differences as well. Here’s a rundown of the four new models:

Panasonic DMC-LX3

The Panasonic DMC-LX3 has a 10.1 megapixel resolution. The camera has ISO settings from 3200 to 6400 and can shoot in three different aspect ratios simultaneously: 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9. The LX3 has joystick control to adjust the focus, aperture, and shutter speed as well as a hot shoe for an external flash. The LX3 should be available in August in silver and black for $499.95.

Panasonic DMC-FX150

The Panasonic FX150 has a resolution of 14.7 megapixels. The camera supports RAW shooting, and can record high-definition video at 1280 x 720. The FX150 is expected to be released in August for $399.95.

Panasonic DMC-FX37

The Panasonic FX37 has a 10.1 megapixel resolution and a 5x optical zoon. The compact digital camera has optical image stabilization and comes in a variety of different colors (silver, white, black, brown, pink, and blue). This FX37 is designed more for the casual camera user, with limited manual controls. The DMC-FX37 will be available in September for $349.99.

Panasonic DMC-FZ28

The Panasonic DMC-FZ28 has a 10.1 megapixel resolution and is designed for the digital camera user who is looking for a serious zoom in their consumer camcorder. The FZ28 has an 18x optical zoom and offers both automatic and manual controls for users. The FZ28 supports RAW shooting, and can also shoot in three different aspect ratios: 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9. The FZ28 will be available in August in both black and silver for $399.95.
