The Canon Powershot A470 IS offers blur-busting features

The Canon Powershot A470 IS is a point and shoot digital camera designed for novice users looking for a new entry-level camera.

Priced at US$149 the Powershot A470 is a simple to use camera that shoots fast and fun.

According to Canon, the Powershot A470 offers an enhanced point-and-shoot capability that includes a brand-new blur-reducing Motion Detection Technology coupled with Face Detection Technology with White Balance and Red-Eye Correction.

• 7.1 Megapixels, 1/ 2.5” CCD
• Macro allows photography from 5-47 cm (W), 25-47cm (T), 1-10cm (SuperMacro)
• 3.4x optical zoom
• Focal length f/3.0-5.8 (35mm equivalent : 38-132mm)

• 2.5-inch low temperature polycrystalline silicon TFT color LCD screen (115,000 pixels)
