Kodak EasyShare Z812IS for $230

By Jonathan Schlaffer

z812 If you are in the market for a digital camera with a long zoom and image stabalization for under $300, then the Kodak EasyShare Z812IS may be just what you are looking for.

Right now the Kodak Z812IS can be had for $242 at Abes Of Maine but using coupon code LOYALTY10 at checkout will net you $10 the price for a total of just over $232 and free shipping (tax applies only to orders shipped within New Jersey).

Kodak EasyShare Z812IS for $230

The Z812IS features optical image stabilization, an 8MP sensor, 12X optical zoom, 2.5-inch high resolution (230k pixels) LCD display and a high resolution electronic viewfinder with 230k pixels as well.  It has 32MB of internal memory (which won’t get you far) so at least a 2GB SD memory card will be needed.

As you can probably guess there is going to be some give and take with a camera that has all these features coming in at such a low price and that is there is no A/C adapter, dock or rechargeable battery pack included with the camera.  Power out of the box will be provided by a CRV3 lithium (non-rechargeable) battery.

However, with a little digging around, a charger and battery kit can be had for $40 or slightly less.

There are a plethora of still image options to choose from but this camera also has an HD movie mode (1280 x 720) at 30fps with sound which will eat up memory so maybe an 8GB SD card is in order if that’s a feature you will take advantage of.

All in all, it’d be hard to beat this deal at $230 (note, credit card orders only as Abes of Maine does not accept PayPal).
