Fujifilm FinePix Z10fd compact digital camera

For the point-and-shoot digital camera user on a tight budget, the Fujifilm FinePix Z10fd might well suit their needs. This mid-range digital camera from Fujifilm boasts an effective pixel resolution of 7.2 million. Very respectable for a digital camera in this class. It also has a 3x optical zoom.
The FinePix Z10fd has a ½.5 CCD sensor and a 2.5-inch 150,000 color TFT LCD monitor. You can immediately show off photos you have taken via a slideshow, or scrapbook show (this even has its own music background), so there’s no need to transfer images to a PC.
Available in 7 vibrant colors, the FinePix Z10fd is equipped with an intelligent flash, complemented by image stabilization which is designed to prevent blurring of images in motion. The intelligent flash is designed to enhance lighting when taking pictures in dim environments.
Another good feature of the FinePix Z10fd is its viewfinder, which can display up to 100 micro thumbnails of images. Aside from this feature, the FinePix Z10fd has several shooting modes that adapt to the environmental conditions of the subject of your photos. These include auto, manual, picture stabilization, portrait, sports shooting modes.
Last but definitely not the least; FinePix Z10fd has a good face detection and red eye removal feature. The Z10fd automatically detects faces and highlights them for a good photo quality. And for red eye problems, FinePix Z10fd removes these automatically without the need to edit the photos using third party photo editor software on a PC.
Reviews on Amazon are mixed, with one reviewer criticizing the camera’s low-light and “anti shake” performance, while another reviewer praised the camera’s ability to take clear, crisp, and up-close photos.
The recommended retail price is $US249.95, though at the time of writing it was available from Amazon for US$169.
