Nikon prepares for the battle of DSLR with D3 model
By Arnold Zafra
Nikon and Canon have been slugging it out in the Digital SLR camera with their mid-range and yet powerful models. As a response to the upcoming Canon DSLR models sometime in November, Nikon is prepping up its line up as well. For starters Nikon has released its 12.1 megapixel D3 DSLR. A powerful DSLR that is not heavy on the budget.
The Nikon D3 is a top-of-the-line DSLR camera that combines Nikon’s successful DX technology with the full frame feature of Nikon’s FX camera. Since the D3 is planned for the mass market and not exclusively for the prosumer market, expect that D3 to have the same feel of the FX cameras in the more simple structure of the DX models.
But in terms of performance and capabilities, this hybrid FX/DX D3 camera is sure to give Canon’s equally impressive EOS-1D Mark III and 5D models a run for their money. The Nikon D3 has a sensitivity range of ISO 200 to 6400 at normal settings. This should produce high-quality images. Although, be cautious of using higher ISO settings, as these might produce grainy images.
For quick shooting events with fast movement changes, the Nikon D3 offers a maximum of nine fps shooting speed.
These are just some of the nifty features of the Nikon D3 DSLR model. Standard features common in high-end DSLR are incorporated into the camera’s specification and design. Nikon aficionados will surely want to upgrade to the Nikon D3 as soon as it comes out in November. Every penny you’d spend on the Nikon D3 is likely to be worth its performance and capabilities.
